The car culture should be about the love you have towards your car and others, the appreciation… not who is faster. Because there’s always going to be someone faster.
My stance is US based only since you can drive however you want in Russia and it won’t come back to haunt you like 20+ police at your front door a day later taking you and your ride away. The cops here are sooooo bad especially the snitch snowflakes (citizens). I served 9 months already here for street racing and I almost had Noisy taken from me if it wasn’t for my cool head. I was sharing cigs with cops telling them about my builds and shooting the shit, which I think saved me. The Challenger that I was racing had his car repo’d and sold via police auction a few months later. Once they got your license plate, it’s only a matter of time.
I try to not make fun of anyone’s ride, unless you’re driving EV. Even the try hard ricers you see with backwards wings… I’d rather educate someone about cars than laugh at them. Nobody knows 100% about cars. Even the guys that have been doing it for over a decade with the “my daddy did this and this and this” mentality. I especially can’t stand passive-aggressive egocentric assholes. They’re the worse because it takes a while to sniff them out since they usually come off so helpful and sweet, at first. Then ignore everything you say and can do because “they know best”. My biggest and BIGGEST complaint though is when car guys belittle me. Yeah, I get it, you can make stuff for cars, fab, and build cool fast engines. Well, so can I mother fucker. You can create custom wings, manifolds, body kits, wiring harnesses, suspension setups, turbo setups, etc.. well… so can I mother fucker. Gawd it’s so annoying to deal with. Nobody ever takes my knowledge seriously.

- I can weld TIG, MIG, Stick, and now gas. I’m not professional, my welds look like shit, but I can say I weld and I do my own work.
- I specialize in custom cooling systems.
- I’m pretty boss with anything electrical. I can create custom wiring harnesses for any vehicle.
- Fabrication is something that I REALLY enjoy. I can’t stand bolt on anything, it’s SO easy compared to fab.
- I hate creating my own exhaust systems since I’m too poor for a car lift.
- First engine I worked on was a 4A-GE out of an AE92. My ex taught me how to work on engines. From there, I started doing my own work.
- I do my own glass and windshield replacement work too. Bondo. Auto repair. I even removed my own tire from the rim once. Shit is a LOT harder than these brutes make it to be.
